ESTATE OF SANTIAGO ABREU, Deceased (16/1684) — In this application by the step-daughter of the decedent for the issuance of letters of administration, the decedent's son signed a waiver, consent and renunciation, and there was no appearance in opposition by the only other distributee, the decedent's spouse, who is alleged to be under a disability. If the disability caused the spouse's default, it would appear she is ineligible to serve as the fiduciary of the estate. Of course, if appropriate, a guardian ad litem shall be appointed for the spouse in any future accounting or other proceeding.
