Advice for the Lawlorn: Can You Be Too Loyal?

For the past six years since graduating from law school, I have worked the same large law firm and am presently beginning a job search for an in-house position. I do not want my present employer to know that I am interviewing. I have been asked by a potential employer with whom I have an interview to provide a list of references which includes names of people "to whom I've reported". I do not know who to give them since I have not worked anywhere else in the legal profession and I do not want anyone with whom I presently work to know that I am interviewing. What should I do?
