Six visiting law students from Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, La., joined students from St. John's University School of Law and the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University on Wednesday to tour Long Beach neighborhoods hit last fall by Hurricane Sandy in Long Beach, at right.

The Southern Law students, some whose own homes were damaged by Hurricane Katrina in 2005, spent last week volunteering at Touro Law Center's Disaster Assistance Clinic helping local residents with ongoing, storm-related legal problems.
