U.S. Calls Ghailani 'Mass Murderer' in Bombing Trial

Physical evidence and the testimony of witnesses prove that Ahmed Khalfan Ghailani "has the blood of hundreds on his hands" Southern District Assistant U.S. Attorney Harry Chernoff said in his closing argument yesterday. Methodically summing up the circumstantial case, Mr. Chernoff said that three weeks of evidence has proven that Mr. Ghailani played a pivotal role in acquiring a truck and gas tanks that were refashioned into a bomb driven to the U.S. embassy in Dar es Salaam.
