Services Set for Former Court of Appeals Judge

A memorial service will be held in Syracuse on March 7 for former state Court of Appeals judge Stewart Hancock Jr., who died on Feb. 11 at age 91.

The 11:30 a.m. service will be at Park Central Presbyterian Church, 504 E. Fayette St.

Calling hours will be held from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. March 6 at the church.

Private funeral services were held for Hancock earlier this month.

Hancock was an associate judge on the state's highest court from 1986 to 1993 following service as a Supreme Court and Appellate Division, Fourth Department justice.

The Cazenovia resident was also a long-time partner at his family's Syracuse firm, Hancock & Estabrook (NYLJ, Feb. 13).
