Bankruptcy Judges Honored
The Federal Bar Association honored retiring judges James M. Peck (center) and Allan L. Gropper (second from right) at a reception for U.S. bankruptcy judges of the Southern District at the Federal Courthouse at 500 Pearl Street on Monday. The FBA also honored Burton R. Lifland, the federal bankruptcy judge who oversaw the unwinding of assets in Bernard L. Madoff's multibillion dollar Ponzi scheme who died Jan. 12.
