An unsubstantiated bomb threat disrupted proceedings at Nassau County Supreme Court Tuesday.

An anonymous caller phoned in the threat to a support staff office number at the Mineola courthouse just before 11 a.m. Nassau County court spokesman Daniel Bagnuola said the building, which held "hundreds" of people at the time, was then evacuated.

Court officers searched the premise, deemed the building safe, and reopened the building at 11:25 a.m. Nassau County Police Department officers also responded.

"The disruption was minimal," said Bagnuola, adding the police department was currently investigating the threat.
