Pinto Jul 19, 2017 If Ryan‘s rule had been "wear a suit" it would have clearly even-handed, but it would have afforded women fewer options. (This is an occasion where men are far more hemmed in, pardon the pun, than women.) I hate taking his side on anything, and I don‘t care about sleeves, but try to draft an objective rule about appropriate work attire for women, and you will wind up with a list of exclusions rather than inclusions. It makes you sound like you‘re getting the vapors when you really just want to say "dress professionally."
