Over the past few decades, mediation has become ingrained into our legal culture. The field's growth has created new opportunities for conflict resolution experts in governments, schools, non-profit organizations and private firms. How exactly can one become a mediator, or incorporate mediation into a larger practice? This panel of dispute resolution professionals will share their own career paths and give recommendations for education, training, and experience. The speakers will show how interested attorneys can have careers in mediation, or at the very least, have some mediation in their careers.
Join NYCLA as it presents its Public Service Awards to honor lawyers in the public sector who have distinguished themselves as role models, innovators, and problem solvers of complex legal issues. This event is free and open to all attorneys in the Public Sector and to all NYCLA members.
