Lea Haber Kuck and Betsy Hellmann of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom write that the decisions in the four international cases decided by the New York Court of Appeals last year, all of which involved events that occurred primarily, if not exclusively, outside of the United States, provide some insight into the circumstances under which foreign litigants can successfully access the New York courts.
