Quirk in N.Y. Law Sets Aside Transfer of Exempt Property

Under a quirk in New York state law, the transfer of exempt property prior to bankruptcy may be set aside as a fraudulent conveyance, a Western District bankruptcy court judge has held in a matter of first impression.
