• Foley & Lardner has added labor and employment attorney Jonathan Israel as a partner in the sports industry team and labor and employment practice. He was a shareholder at Greenberg Traurig.
• Morrison Cohen has hired Yariv Ben-Ari as a senior counsel in the real estate department, as well as its interdepartmental real estate finance and restructuring group. Yariv was an associate at Herrick Feinstein, where he concentrated in commercial real estate and finance.
• Allan Cohen has been named managing partner of Nixon Peabody's Long Island office. He succeeds Denise Pursley, who now serves as leader of the firm's national real estate practice. Cohen focuses on mergers and acquisitions of public and private companies, joint ventures and strategic alliances, corporate finance, public and private securities offerings, among other matters.
