The New York County Lawyers' Association and Arnold & Porter will commemorate the 50th anniversary of Gideon v. Wainwright on March 18 at the bar group's Vesey Street headquarters. The program, which will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a 30-minute premiere of the film "Defending Gideon" narrated by Martin Sheen, will include a panel of federal and state prosecutors and defenders followed by a cocktail reception.
