• Brad Cronin and Sean Cronin have formed Cronin & Cronin Law Firm. The three-attorney firm, based in Mineola, specializes in tax certiorari matters. Both partners had practiced at Cronin, Cronin & Harris.
• Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi has added Hollis Salzman and Kellie Lerner as partners and Bernard Persky as of counsel in the antitrust practice. All were with Labaton Sucharow, where Salzman was managing chair and Persky was cochair and founder of that firm's antitrust and competition litigation practice. Salzman will serve as cochair of Robins Kaplan's antitrust and trade regulation practice group.

• John Callagy, a partner at Kelley Drye & Warren, has been appointed to the First Departmental Disciplinary Committee.
• Michael Schmidtberger, managing partner of Sidley Austin's New York office, will receive the John Jay Award for distinguished professional achievement from Columbia College, his alma mater. Schmidtberger, a member of the firm's management and executive committees, is global co-head of its investment funds, advisers and derivatives group.
• The Commercial and Federal Litigation Section of the New York State Bar Association has created a Committee on Social Media, cochaired by Mark Berman of Ganfer & Shore and Ignatius Grande of Hughes Hubbard & Reed.
