Courtroom Closure Did Not Violate Trial Right, Panel Says

The Second Circuit said Eastern District Judge Sterling Johnson did not violate the defendant's Sixth Amendment rights because his attorney "fully acquiesced in the exclusion of the family" and volunteered to tell them to leave when there weren't enough seats for prospective jurors.
