Albany Law School recently received a $23,000 grant from a Long Island foundation to be used as a scholarship for a student interested in studying health law. The Slomo and Cindy Silvian Foundation, based in Melville, has donated $100,000 over the past four years, with scholarships helping four Albany Law students so far. The scholarship fund allows students to gain hands-on experience in the Health Law Clinic. The foundation focuses on children's services, education, Jewish philanthropic endeavors, and health care and research.
