Upstate Bankruptcy Judge Approves $855 Billing Rate

Bankruptcy Judge Margaret Cangilos-Ruiz said the fact that the request was unopposed "does not alleviate this court's independent obligation to assess the reasonable value of the services rendered to the Debtor," adding that case law on the reasonableness of legal fees in Chapter 7 cases is "sparse."
