Halt of Hydrofracking Did Not Extend Drilling Rights, Judge Says

Northern District Judge David Hurd rejected arguments by the energy companies that the terms of the contracts with upstate property owners have been extended by force majeure as long as the companies continue to pay "rental fees" or "delay rentals" on the properties to their owners.
