New York state courts in New York City and surrounding counties will be closed on Monday, Oct. 29, because of Hurricane Sandy, according to the Office of Court Administration. In the federal courts, all Southern District courthouses as well as Eastern District courts in Brooklyn and Long Island will be closed on Monday due to the weather.
