• Thompson & Knight has added Marion Bachrach as a partner in the trial and government practices. She was a partner at DePetris & Bachrach, where she focused on white-collar criminal defense and civil and regulatory litigation.

• Richard Yarmel has joined Harter Secrest & Emery in Rochester as a partner in its healthcare practice. He was a partner at Abrams, Fensterman, Fensterman, Eisman, Formato, Ferrara & Einiger.

• Braff, Harris & Sukoneck has hired Adam Kipnis as senior counsel, focusing on personal injury, professional liability, product liability and mass tort ligation. He was a partner at Wilson, Elser, Moskowitz, Edelman & Dicker.

• Patrick McCormick, a partner at Campolo, Middleton & McCormick, has been elected to the board of directors of the Developmental Disabilities Institute, a service provider for children and adults with autism on Long Island.
