Suburban Mom Pleads Guilty to Promoting Prostitution

New York Law Journal

September 26, 2012

Anna Gristina, the woman dubbed by tabloids as the "Soccer Mom Madam," pleaded guilty yesterday to promoting prostitution. Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan said Gristina, who was arrested in February, would be sentenced on Nov. 20 to six months in jail and five years of probation. But she is not expected to serve jail time for the class D felony because of time spent this year at Rikers after the judge set her bail at $2 million.
