High Court Seeks Views on Gag, Evasion of Mandated Restitution

The U.S. Supreme Court has directed the U.S. solicitor general to respond to a certiorari petition filed by a Long Island lawyer that questions whether the government can gag an attorney and evade mandatory restitution laws by sealing a criminal record to protect a cooperating witness in a racketeering case.
