Judges to Take Up City's Proposal to Revise 18-B Assignments

New York Law Journal

September 4, 2012

Attorneys representing several New York City bar groups will argue in the state's highest court tomorrow that the city should not be allowed to adopt a plan the groups insist will undermine their role in the assigned-counsel program. The court also will take up Peter Galasso's challenge to his suspension for failing to properly supervise his law firm's bookkeeper, who embezzled from clients.
