As more partners head for the doors at Dewey & LeBoeuf, at least two lawyers from other firms are going the opposite way to advise new clients.

Dewey has hired Frank Wohl, a former federal prosecutor and name partner at New York's Lankler Siffert & Wohl, as outside counsel for a criminal probe of its former chairman Steven Davis, says a source close to the investigation. The probe is being conducted by the district attorney's office in Manhattan.

The source adds that Joel Sanders, Dewey's chief financial officer, has retained the services of William Schwartz, the chair of the white collar and regulatory defense practice at Cooley. Neither Schwartz nor Wohl immediately responded to requests for comment.

Ousted chairman Davis has turned to Barry Bohrer of New York's Morvillo, Abramowitz, Grand, Iason, Anello & Bohrer, while former executive director Stephen DiCarmine is being represented by Hughes Hubbard & Reed white collar practice chair Edward Little, according to our previous reports. Unlike Davis, DiCarmine and Sanders have yet to face allegations of wrongdoing.
